Your workshop project
A stained glass mountain scene
Create the glass elements of a mountain scene for display in a wooden base. Marvin guides you through cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering as you bring the landscape together.
From pattern to finished piece.
The workshop follows the same practical process used to assemble copper foil stained glass.
Cut the glass
Use a hand cutter and breaking pliers safely to shape the glass pieces for your mountain scene.
Grind and refine
Smooth the edges and adjust each piece so the parts fit together cleanly.
Apply copper foil
Wrap the prepared glass edges with copper foil tape and burnish it into place.
Solder and finish
Join the prepared glass pieces with solder, tidy the edges and finish the elements of your mountain scene.
