You do not have to know how yet.
If you want to build something but are not sure where to begin, our woodworking workshops combine safe tool use, practical instruction and a project you can learn by making.
Start with the fundamentals.
Learn essential safety, measuring, layout, cutting, assembly and finishing through a guided project.
Build more precise skills.
Develop accuracy through joinery, box making, Japanese woodworking and other detail focused techniques.
Add digital tools.
Connect computer based design with the AXYZ CNC router and traditional Wood Shop processes to create custom work.
Workshop levels
Find the right place to start.
Each workshop title identifies the experience expected. Start with Beginner Level 1 unless the workshop description lists different prerequisites.
Beginner Level 1
No experience required. Learn essential safety, tools and foundational woodworking techniques.
Beginner Level 2
Build on the basics with more detailed projects. Level 1 or equivalent experience is recommended.
Intermediate
For makers comfortable with basic woodworking who want to explore specialized skills and finer work.
All Levels
Open to beginners and experienced makers, with instruction adapted to support different skill levels.
