Beginner Level 1 | One guided session
Build a mug by hand.
Turn a prepared slab of clay into a one of a kind mug. Shape the body, add a comfortable handle and make it personal with texture and decorative details.
From slab to finished mug.
Jenny guides you through each hand building step, with plenty of room to make the finished mug feel like your own.
Shape the clay
Begin with a prepared slab of clay and learn how to form a strong, even mug body.
Build your mug
Join the clay securely, shape the base and create a comfortable handle using fundamental pottery techniques.
Make it yours
Choose textures and decorative details to give your mug its own personality before firing.
We finish it for you
After the workshop, NewMakeIt applies a clear glaze and fires your mug. It will be ready for pickup in approximately two weeks.
