Description:
Discover the joy of clay through a hands-on, project-based pottery course.
In this beginner-friendly 6-week class, you’ll dive into essential handbuilding techniques—pinching, coiling, slab rolling, sculpting, and carving—all while working on guided projects. Each week focuses on building a functional or decorative piece, such as mugs, bowls, plates, or sculptural forms.
You’ll also explore decorative surface techniques like mishima and sgraffito, and learn how to finish your pieces to enhance both beauty and durability.

Meet Your Instructor:
Katie works across ceramics, printmaking, and painting, bringing years of experience to her teaching. A longtime member of the Hill Potters’ Group, she also previously worked as a ceramic technician at the Ottawa School of Art.
Completed pieces will be ready for pick-up about a week after the final session.
