What You'll Learn:
Safety First:
- Introduction to smelting safety protocols
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Safe handling of tools and materials
Understanding Metal Heat Points:
- Basics of metal properties and their melting points
- Identifying the right conditions for smelting different metals
Pouring Ingots:
- Preparation of Ingot molds for pouring
- Techniques for pouring molten metal into molds
Who Should Attend:
This workshop is perfect for hobbyists, DIY enthusiasts, artists, and anyone interested in learning the basics of smelting. No prior experience is necessary.
What to Bring:
All materials and safety equipment will be provided. Just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
Dress Code:
For your safety, please adhere to the following dress code:
- Long-sleeved shirts and long pants made of natural fibers (cotton or wool)
- Closed-toe, sturdy shoes (preferably leather)
- Hair tied back and no loose clothing or accessories
- Safety glasses and gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer
