Form the main band, add one or more freely rotating bands, and personalize the surfaces with your choice of textures and finishes.
Jewellery skills you can build on.
Jim guides the group through each stage, from sizing raw metal to polishing the completed ring.
Build the main band
Measure, cut and shape the metal into a comfortable ring sized for you.
Create the surface
Use jewellery tools to add pattern, contrast and a finish that feels personal.
Join the components
Learn safe torch setup, flux and soldering techniques with close instructor support.
Polish and assemble
Clean and polish the metal, then secure the spinner bands so they move freely.

Meet Jim.
Hands-on help throughout the process
Jim Travers demonstrates each technique, helps with setup and sizing, and provides individual guidance as you form, solder and finish your ring.

Beginner Level 1
No previous jewellery-making or metalworking experience is required.
Adult workshop
This workshop is designed for adult participants.
Tools and materials included
Metal, wire, pliers, cutters, torch, solder, flux and polishing materials are provided.
Maximum four participants
A small group allows time for individual guidance at each stage.
Come workshop ready
Wear closed-toe shoes and practical clothing. Secure long hair and avoid loose sleeves around tools and the torch. Required equipment and safety guidance are provided.
