This hands-on workshop is perfect for those looking to expand their skills and take on more ambitious projects.
In Woodworking 201, you can choose from a variety of popular projects, such as:
- End tables or bedside tables
- Bookcases with adjustable shelves
- Hall tables with drawers
- Sliding dovetail step stools
- Medicine cabinets with doors and shelving
This workshop allows you to select a project that excites you, while also focusing on advanced joinery techniques and woodworking methods. You'll explore various joinery styles, sharpen your skills, and discover innovative approaches to crafting.

Your experienced instructor will guide you through the workshop, offering personalized support when needed. You’ll also have access to our shop throughout the month, giving you the flexibility to work independently and progress at your own pace. Whether you’re catching up or diving deeper into your project, you'll have plenty of time to practice and refine the techniques introduced in earlier sessions.

You will receive limited complementary Membership for the wood shop at NewMakeIt during the term of the class, allowing additional time to work on projects and bolster their knowledge.
This class will be a combination of workshop and classroom. Appropriate safety equipment is required. You should budget for approximately $100 in material fees to complete the projects. (Material fee defers based on the type of wood you'd like to use)
