Discover the fundamentals of leathercraft in this hands-on beginner workshop! Participants will create their own valet tray while learning essential leatherworking techniques using VegTan leather.
Throughout the session, you’ll explore:
- An introduction to veg-tan leather and its unique properties
- Tools and materials used in leathercraft, plus optional alternatives
- Tracing and safely cutting from a pattern
- Shaping and hand tooling techniques
- Stitch punching and hand stitching
- Types of adhesives and safe usage
- Dyeing, painting, and finishing methods for professional results
- Edge finishing and final detailing
The workshop wraps up with a Q&A session where you can ask questions and get tips for continuing your leatherworking journey.
