Join us for a 4-week woodworking workshop as we combine woodworking and laser engraving to create stunning, personalized charcuterie boards. From choosing wood to adding intricate laser designs, each week brings you closer to crafting a unique masterpiece.
Week 1: milling of material
Learn the basics of woodworking by choosing the right wood and getting hands-on with shaping your material. These skills set the foundation for your charcuterie board. Master essential woodworking tools to shape your wood and kickstart the creation of your one-of-a-kind board.
Week 2: lamination and then laser certification
Discover the art of layering different wood pieces to create eye-catching patterns on your board. This week is all about the visual appeal! Head to the laser area for hands-on training. Get certified to use the laser for adding precise and cool designs to your charcuterie board.
Week 3: Cut to shape and prepare for engraving
Sharpen your woodworking skills by cutting your layered materials into shapes that fit your vision. Precision is key for a great-looking charcuterie board! Think about how you want your board to look. We'll chat about adding elements that make it both functional and visually appealing.
Week 4: Laser engraving and finishing
Time to head back to the laser area! Bring your board to life with intricate designs. It's like magic for your culinary creation. Wrap up your masterpiece with tips on food-safe seals and enhancing the wood's beauty. Your charcuterie board is ready to impress!
Please note that this workshop will take place both in a classroom and in a workshop, so you'll need to bring your own safety equipment and wear appropriate clothing.
