Your finished project
A handmade set of stacking rings
Create a coordinated collection using sterling silver, copper and brass wire with your choice of smooth, hammered and embellished surfaces.
Core ring-making techniques.
Learn the foundational processes used across many future jewellery projects.
Measure ring blanks
Calculate, mark and cut each blank so the completed rings fit comfortably.
Shape consistent bands
Use a mandrel and hand tools to turn straight wire into even ring forms.
Anneal and solder
Use heat safely to soften, join and strengthen the metal during fabrication.
Texture and polish
Add hammered or smooth surfaces, refine the joins and polish the completed stack.

Meet Jim.
Build each ring with close guidance
Jim Travers demonstrates ring sizing, forming and torch soldering, then helps each participant refine the details that make the finished stack feel personal.

Beginner Level 1
No previous jewellery-making or torch experience is required.
Age 16+
Participants under 18 require parental consent and a signed waiver.
Maximum six participants
The small group allows individual help with sizing, soldering and finishing.

Come workshop ready
Wear closed-toe shoes and practical clothing. Secure long hair and avoid loose sleeves around tools and the torch. Required equipment and safety guidance are provided.
