Inside the Multi Use Area

Set up. Spread out. Get creative.

Large worktables, chairs, task lighting and nearby shared facilities make this one of NewMakeIt’s most adaptable rooms. It can be quiet and focused, social and collaborative, or rearranged completely for the work at hand.

The room changes with the workshop, and every table tells a different story.

Use the space your way

Part classroom. Part workspace. Part place to pause.

When the room is not reserved for a program, it brings several useful NewMakeIt facilities together in one comfortable shared space.

Desks and shared computers

Bring a laptop, plan a project, prepare digital files or use the tables for other clean, non dusty work.

Two pottery kilns

The room also houses two pottery kilns, including one with a capacity of 10 cubic feet. Kilns may be firing or cooling while the room is in use.

Kitchenette and coffee area

Take a break, enjoy your lunch or stop at the coffee station between projects.

Clean shared workspace

Dusty, smoky, noisy or shop based work belongs in the appropriate studio area.

The room can become a classroom.

When you want guidance, the tables move, the tools come out and the space shifts from everyday workspace to a hands on place to learn.
