Beginner Level 1 | Three guided sessions
From clay to glazed pieces.
Learn the complete wheel throwing process. You will throw, trim, decorate and glaze your own pottery while building confidence at the wheel.
Your three sessions.
Each session develops a different part of the process, taking you from prepared clay to finished, glazed work.
Centre and throw
Learn to centre clay, open the form and pull the walls to create bowls, cups and other simple wheel thrown shapes.
Trim and decorate
Refine your pieces by trimming the bases, attaching handles and trying carving and surface decoration.
Glaze your work
Prepare and glaze your pieces using NewMakeIt's in house glaze selection before their final firing.
