Have you always wanted to learn how to fabricate with metal? Here’s your chance! Workshop participants will learn to use welding and fabricate their first metal project. In this course, we recommend that you have taken the MIG welding workshop and have some basic welding experience. We will teach you how to cut metal, fit pieces together, and weld your very first project. These projects will be small like a welding table, table legs, or other ideas you have (with the approval of the instructor). Upon successful completion participants will have the confidence to successfully complete any basic welding project on their own.
This class will take place both in a classroom and shop environment. The necessary safety equipment will be provided for this class (welding mask and gloves).
Appropriate clothing should be worn during workshop-based sessions.
Material cost for the project is not included in the price of the class as the project will vary in material and sizes. Please budget for at least $100 for your material for this class. The cost will vary based on your project and materials you choose. During the first class the instructor will work with you to pick a project. You can buy your materials from us or bring them yourselves. we will also provide you with a material and price sheet.
