Time: 6:00 to 9:00 pm
Instructors: Anna Vander Heide
In the introductory 3-hour workshop, you will start from scratch with graphite and learn how to use props or photographs for reference and inspiration to plan, construct, sketch, draw, and complete two projects from start to finish.
In the first hour, you will warm up using exercises that will help you become comfortable with using graphite. You will learn basic skills such as, drawing what you see, building a drawing from a sketch, value/shading, and texture. This will transition into a small practice project that will utilize these basic drawing principles and skills that will make your visions real.
In the second and third hour, you will then move into a larger project to finish while learning the different applications, aesthetics and possibilities that can be achieved with the medium.
This is the perfect workshop for beginners, no prior experience or artistic skill necessary! If you already have some experience or are able to create simple sketches, join us, and take your skill, knowledge and artwork to the next level!
All supplies will be provided! Just bring yourself and surprise yourself with what you can create!
