Description:
Prepare for a rewarding woodworking experience with your wood 102 end table project, including all necessary materials and safety gear.
In this workshop, you'll refine your woodworking skills by crafting a personalized end table. Throughout the course, you'll gain proficiency in using tools such as table saws, routers, planers, joiners, sanders, as well as mastering wood joinery and finishing techniques.
Project: you build a hall table with the ability to customize your piece.
Day 1 will focus on safety review, examining project blueprints, and beginning the assembly of panels and legs.
On Day 2, you'll square off the legs and work on joining them to the table skirts using methods like doweling and mortise & tenon joints.
Day 3 will involve assembling the skirts using techniques like the Kregg Jig, squaring off the top, and utilizing a router.
Day 4 will be for final adjustments, sanding, and assembly.
Participants will also receive a limited complimentary membership to the wood shop at NewMakeIt for the duration of the class, providing additional time for project work and skill enhancement.
This class combines hands-on workshop activities with classroom learning. Proper safety gear is mandatory, and all necessary materials will be provided.
Classified as "Intermediate," this course builds upon skills from woodworking 101, catering to those with prior woodworking experience looking to refine their abilities. A basic understanding of tools and wood construction is assumed, with participants utilizing a range of tools including jointers, planers, miter saws, table saws, sanders, and more to complete their projects.
